IASO-LITE

IASO-LITE

Overview

The A.S.T. Biomedical IASO-LITE is a fully automated, random-access ELISA/optional CLIA microplate analyzer designed for continuous loading and high walk-away time. It runs up to 3 plates per session with independent scheduling, uses disposable tips (10–1000 µL) to avoid carryover, and includes on-board incubation, shaking, washing, predilution, and dual reading (absorbance + optional chemiluminescence). Interchangeable sample/reagent racks let you load up to 128 samples and multiple assay kits at once; low power draw and 24 Vdc operation support energy-efficient use. LIS/RS-232 connectivity, remote support, and barcode options round out an all-in-one workflow.

Main features

  • Random access & continuous loading: treats each plate as an independent work session; optimized turnaround.

  • Capacity: up to 3 microplates; up to 12 assays/plate (1 per strip with common incubation); up to 128 samples on board (8 racks × 16).

  • Pipetting system: two motor-controlled air syringes; 10–1000 µL range; pressure/clot detection; disposable tips (320 loaded).

  • On-board processing: 3 incubators (37 °C ±1 °C to 40 °C), orbital shakers (50–1100 rpm, CW/CCW), 16-pin wash manifold (8 aspirate + 8 dispense), predilution plate.

  • Fluids management: dual 2.5 L wash tanks, 2.5 L H₂O tank, dual 2.5 L waste tanks—each with load-cell level sensing.

  • Readers:

    • ELISA photometer up to 4.0 O.D. with 8-frequency LEDs; choose 4 wavelengths from 405/450/570/630/650/690 nm (independent filters).

    • CLIA reader (option): photomultiplier for chemiluminescent microplates.

  • Throughput flexibility: on-board up to 4 assay kits with ability to change reagents mid-run.

  • Connectivity & software: LIS via RS-232 (ASTM), Wi-Fi remote assistance; barcode reader for samples and reagents (option), RFID (option).

  • Eco/utility: low energy consumption (~350 VA), supports 24 Vdc operation (e.g., solar/wind power sources).

Footprint: 680×790×885 mm, ~60 kg; accepts tubes up to 16×100 mm.
